English Country Dancing has a wealth of fine dances and music, created over the past 500 years by the “greats” of the courts, assembly halls, the Regency era and more recently, wonderful additions in the 21st century. The ECD-Sea to Sea 2017 booklet of dances and music, was created to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary since confederation.
The booklet holds 21 original dances and music from choreographers and composers from sea to sea in Canada. Dances such as "Active Pass" from British Columbia," Fundy Tides" from Nova Scotia/Ontario and "Blue and Gold" from Manitoba add to the existing collections of English Country Dances.
You cannot be without this new source of material for your local, regional or national dance events. We hope you will enjoy these dances and see them contributing to the ongoing growth of ECD as a living tradition.
Project editors Susan Bunting, Donald Lamond, and Lorraine Sutton are English Country dance enthusiasts based in Ontario. You can contact them at buntingDOTlamondATnexicomDOTnet or lorrainesutton7ATgmailDOTcom
